PBS "MYSTERY OF LOVE"
PROJECT HEADED BY CLI IN THE DAYTON REGION

The
Mystery of Love, a PBS documentary to air
December 13th deals with the many dimensions of love in
our lives. As Bill Moyers says this broadcast is "as
deep, tender, and ineffable as the subject itself, and as
eye-opening, exhilarating, and beguiling as the first moment
it happens to you.” The Mystery of Love
is the first in a series of three films being funded by
the Fetzer
Institute as part of its Campaign for Love
& Forgiveness, an inclusive, non-partisan
initiative that explores how love and forgiveness can effect
meaningful change in individuals and communities alike.
In conjunction with the PBS documentary,
Dayton has been chosen as one of ten sites hosting a community
dialogue around the theme of love and understanding. The
dialogue is sponsored nationally by Active Voice (www.activevoice.net)
, Independent Production Fund and in Dayton through Civic
Life, International (www.civiclifeint.org)
an organization dedicated to promoting
deliberative dialogue and active citizenship in local communities.
In collaboration with local groups and partners, Civic Life
International intends to use The Mystery of
Love to initiative series of public forum
that may increase our capacity to connect with and learn
more about the viewpoints of others with whom we differ
while solving problems or dealing with conflicts. Civic
Life International hopes to use The Mystery
of Love Project to explore love as a means
of bringing the community together around a conversation
of compassion and understanding for and of the other.
The Kick-off for the PBS airing and the Dayton area dialogues
will be held on December 12th, at the ThinkTV Network station,
